Wild Elements

Our mission at Dragonfly Wild Gardens is to introduce ‘Wild Elements’ to as many gardens and shared outdoor spaces as we can. We believe that every garden can have a little wild in it, and that ‘wild’ doesn’t have to equal out of control! Wild Elements are all about introducing natural habitats that welcome wildlife, whilst maintaining the beauty and structure we value in our garden havens. Below are some ideas of the elements we offer, please take a look for some inspiration, or get in touch to tell us about your ideas and how we can help make them a reality.

Pond creation

We can create wildlife ponds in any space you have available, providing habitat and a source of life for all wildlife. An essential must-have in any nature garden

Flower beds

Creating nectar sources for flying insects is vital to a healthy ecosystem. Dedicating space for native and nectar rich flowering species creates beauty and a rich food source

Wildflower Meadows

We can create or adapt space in your garden for a wildflower meadow, making both a stunning feature whilst providing food and homes for a host of insects, mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians

Habitat establishment

Small changes to a garden, whether it be creating clear access, or adding shelter or natural food sources, can introduce new habitats for native species under huge pressure

Vertical borders

Creating vertical flowering borders, especially in a limited space where a hedge may take up too much room, is a great option. Birds, mammals and insects require shelter and cover as they navigate garden space, plus this can be a great way of adding a beautiful border to enclose your space

Tree planting

Adding native trees to your garden can boost the habitat available for insects, birds and other wildlife ten-fold. Well managed trees provide essential food and cover, plus they can be a real feature point in any garden

Nest boxes

Nesting locations for birds and bats are decreasing dramatically. We can create and fit nest boxes for a variety of species, in a host of locations, whether on a tree or the side of your house

Feeding stations

We can build stylish, natural feeding stations that will provide a much needed boost to native bird species. Bird feeding can make a life saving difference to birds, especially those surviving through the winter months
